Yoga classes come to Hall

Yoga has just been added to the extraordinary range of activities that are readily available to the Hall and District community members. Classes have just begun in the Pavilion on Monday evenings 6.30 - 7.45 pm and newcomers will be very welcome.

Despina ('Desie') is a practicing Samyama teacher, a Dru graduate and Massage Therapist. She has been teaching for 10 years and is passionate about sharing yoga for promoting general health and well-being. The classes will include:

  • the Samyama Trunk stretch sequence for every day life
  • Asanas (Postures) promoting strength, flexibility, co-ordination, balance, static and dynamic endurance
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques) including Abdominal, Alternate Nostril breathing and Ujaiy
  • Yoganidra (conscious relaxation) - Becoming more in tune with the senses, and learning to consciously settle the body and mind.
