Food and Crude at the Pavilion

14 March 2008

Mick de Britt and friends fed the hungry, and West Texas Crude got the feet tapping (and some dancing!) at the Pavilion last night.

A good crowd of around a hundred folk - the Sheep Dog Triallists, village and district residents - gathered for what is planned to become a regular part of the week's program.

President of the National Sheep Dog Trials Association, Mr Peter Welsh gave special thanks to local vet Jan Spate for her highly valued veterinary support for the event over a very long period of time.

Progress Association President Alastair Crombie welcomed the participants and committed the Association to continue working with the Trials Association to build community involvement in this iconic rural heritage event.

Warmest thanks to the Crude for great support for a local event. They did their best to keep everyone awake, and offered plenty of nostalgia for the baby boomer generation (several in attendance!).
