Web site accolade

11 October 2008

We thought we had got one or two things right, but it was a very pleasant surprise to get the following message:

"My name is Jenelle and I am the new Community Liaison Officer at .auCD (the organisation that manages Community Geographic Domain Names - CGDN's). I have spent the morning admiring your website, it is hard to imagine you only launched in June.

It is truly one of the standout websites under the CGDN initiative.

In addition to all the wonderful and comprehensive information, I love how gorgeously neat and precise your site is visually, you have obviously put a lot of time and effort into editing.

I was wondering if I could use www.hall.act.au as a 'Case Study' to be included on the www.aucd.org.au website, to set a benchmark for other community websites around Australia.

It would also be great if I could submit some media materials to the local news outlets in and around your community to generate additional interest in your site. There are some very newsworthy items included on your site that the wider community will find interesting".

After five seconds thought, we decided not to stand in the way of Janelle telling the rest of the world what a good website the Hall and district community has.
