Hall's Natural Therapies

11 February 2014

Natural health care is now available in Hall. Anita Kilby, who has lived in the district for over 20 years, established Hall Natural Therapies in Victoria Street late last year, and is looking forward to providing naturopathic services to the region.

Anita was actively involved with the Hall Preschool and Primary School when her two sons attended there. Her son's food intolerances as young children reinforced Anita's interest in natural therapies as the cause as easily identified and resolved with diet adjustments, rather than treated with ongoing medication. They have now grown up and are at Uni, the prospects of which prompted a career reassessment that has lead Anita into naturopathy.

Naturopathy aims to support and promote the body's natural ability to heal itself using safe, natural treatments. Getting to know the client is an important aspect of providing a comprehensive health service, so the first visit generally goes for about an hour to allow a detailed discussion of all the factors in a client's life that impact on their health.

A treatment plan can then be negotiated to suit the client's lifestyle and health needs. A report detailing recommendations and information about their health conditions is provided for a handy reference.

Anita will be making regular contributions to the Rural Fringe on common health concerns. If there is something in particular you'd like to read about let Anita know. Healthy eating was January's topic and inflammation will be next.
