Museum's distinguished visitors
26 January 2010
Director of the Donald Horne Institute for Cultural Heritage, James Warden, and two of his colleagues, John Greenwood and Jeff Brownrigg, made a visit to the Hall School Museum on Monday 25th January.
The Donald Horne Institute was established in 2008 'for the study, interpretation, conservation and appreciation of cultural heritage in all its guises'. The Institute provided a letter of support for the Progress Association's (successful) application for an ACT Heritage Grant to complete a Conservation Management Plan for the Museum this year.
On Monday we discussed priorities for the further development of the Museum, and a range of ways in which the Institute and its students might become more involved with it. Alastair Crombie, Project Coordinator for the Museum project, expressed strong support for the development of an on-going relationship between the Museum and the Institute.
Our photo shows (l to r) James Warden, Jeff Brownrigg, and John Greenwood in discussion at The Cottage, after visiting the Museum.
Anyone in the community interested in the Museum project, or with a more general interest in the history and heritage of Hall and district is warmly invited to let us know of their interest.
