Heritage Grant application

20 May 2008

The Association has recently submitted an application for a Heritage Grant (2008-2009) to help us make progress on interpretation, access and promotion of the Hall School Museum and its very fine collection of heritage items.

The narrative section of the application can be found on the Documents page of this site. The request is for $15,000, and the Association proposes to contribute a further $2,000. If we are successful in this bid, other sponsorship support will be sought.

We will also be proposing to Government that some of the $1.5 million being made available for 'refurbishment' at the School be allocated to the Museum, so that maintenance of it will not be an issue for many years.

Our long term vision is to create a thriving Hall and district history and heritage centre under the guidance of a Community Trust. It is planned to establish a group of 'Friends of the Hall School House Museum' whether or not the Grant application is successful.
