Hall's new tip?

12 October 2009

Locals were gob-smacked at the weekend to discover that 'Spate's corner' (corner of Hoskins and Gibbes) had become a tip overnight. While it is not unknown for the occasional garbage bag to be left lying around, this was a full household clearance job - mattress, chairs, furniture, books, toys......

The matter has been reported to the police (the tipper thoughtfully left plenty of correspondence in the heap), and they advise that they will alert the Rangers - whose duties include cleaning up after those who find the tip fees too onerous.

It appears to have happened on Saturday night. If by any chance you saw anything suspicious - like a truck emptying a heap of garbage - you might like to let us know [Contact us].
